We want to thank everyone that played a part in the remembrance service this year.
We welcomed many people to our 2024 Christmas services, regular worshipers at Christ Church, a regular worshipers from elsewhere and those that enjoys attending the services during this special period.
We enjoyed an Advent Carols Service, a candlelit service of Advent Carols and Readings, a Family Christingle followed by a party, Nine Lessons with Carols, a Family Crib Service, Midnight Holy Communion and then our Christmas Day Services .
At our services the collections supported our 3 chosen charities for the period. The charities were nominated by members of our congregation and then 3 were chosen representing a local, national and international charity.
During the 2024 Christmas period we supported:
We want to thank everyone that played a part in the services and celebrations, those that sung and played music, wardened, provided food and drinks, prepared the church the decorations and flowers, provided technical support, drove the bus, served during the services, welcomed and so much more.
We also want to thank everyone that came along to the services.

A very big THANK YOU!
We are very pleased to report that the restoration of the three faces of our historic tower clock is now complete.
This would not have been possible without the extraordinary generosity of members of the congregation and local residents.
We are indebted to both the Sir John Priestman Trust and the Benefact Trust who also provided grants towards the costs.
For more information please refer to our clock face restoration page of our website.
Thanks are of course due to everyone involved in the project but most of all thanks to all of you who contributed so generously.
After 19 years as Director of Music and Organist for Christ Church, Christine has headed off to pastures new.
The entire Christ Church community are very grateful for everything that she has gifted to our Church over the years and wish her, her new Church and family well.
Christine expressed her gratitude for the gifts that were presented to her from the congregation during her last Sunday service at Christ Church.
On Sunday 29 September during our Sunday services we celebrated and thanked God during our Harvest Worship.
We received many kind donations of dried and tinned food for our Harvest Collection which has been divided between the Harrogate Homeless Hostel and the Harrogate Foodbank.
The Flower Team produced some beautiful arrangements of Harvest Flowers and our Junior Church created some wonderful and colourful Harvest Banners to decorate our Church.
We used the song “Counting Every Blessing” by Rend Collective as our inspiration for this year’s Harvest. The banners were brought into the Church and hung from the balcony with the song playing for the congregation. It was a joyful part of our celebration with not a dry eye in the house!!!
Thank you to everyone that was involved in the celebrations and for the generous donations to Harrogate Homeless Hostel and the Harrogate Foodbank.
The Garden Party this year had to be relocated from The Vicarage Garden to the Parish Centre due to the weather! This did not dampen spirits as, hall was transformed into an inside Garden Party with gazebo, deck chairs and a bowling green! Over 100 people attended and enjoyed scones, jam and cream and delicious cakes.
A great time was had by all in the warmth of the Parish Centre!
We say a big thank you to all those who baked, delivered/moved or arranged garden furniture and tents, taxied, served and most of all everyone that attended and had fun.
During 2024, we were delighted to host the latest Ignite Concerts with Alistair Griffin and the Ebor String Quartet for 3 different concerts, the most recent being Christmas themed.
They were all amazing musical evenings bring not only members of our congregation, but new people to enjoy our wonderful Church.
