Past Events at Christ Church

Alongside out 2024 Easter services we also offered other ways to get involved in our Church community.

A children’s Easter Holiday Club for Primary School Aged Children. Offering drama, crafts, games, stories, music ….in celebration of Easter!!!

A Good Friday Light Lunch in our Parish Centre open to all those that wanted to join.

A big thank you to all who donated items for the jumble sale, baked delicious cakes sell to the hungry shoppers, helped before, during and after and also a big thanks to all those that came along to purchase items.

Thank you for supporting this event during which we raised around £2,000 for our church community.

A big thank you to all who cooked, wrote, danced, laughed, acted and generally came along to enjoy our evening on Saturday 3 February 2024.

Thank you for supporting this fun event and also raising funds for our church community.

We look forward to Pantomime 2025.

Our 2023 Christmas services throughout the period of advent were a wonderful mix of celebrations for our regular worshipers and those that enjoy joining during this special period.

During the services the collections were  in support of Christ Church and our 3 chosen charities for the period:

• Whiteknights ‘Yorkshire’ Blood Bikes
• Centrepoint
• UNICEF

Thank you to all that joined us and those that contributed towards these charities.

A big thank you to all who donated, volunteered and came along to our 2023 Christmas Fair.

We raised a wonderful £1,538 so a big thank you to everyone involved.

As well as raising funds, it was a lovely event with stalls selling lovely items, perfect for Christmas presents….Father Christmas even came to join the fun and give out some early Christmas gifts to the children that went to see him.

All this along with refreshments and festive music from some students from St Aidan’s School.

If you missed the event in 2023, hopefully you can join us in 2024.

In November our congregation and the Rt Revd Anna Eltringham, Bishop of Ripon, celebrated with our Confirmation candidates and their families.

In June 2023, our Church community joined with The Reverend Caroline to celebrate her Ordination to the Priesthood.
